13 Inches donated to Locks of Love
Finally got our computer up and running, what a pain. I am headed up to Peenix for a Moutain Bike race at Estrella Mt Park, should be fun. The weather is so beautiful, clear skies and 80's. I will post some pics of the race when I get back. Kevin is doing good, studying his butt off. I feel good about chopping my hair because I donated it, took the shock away.

Me and Sue, happy campers with the win. Here are some pics from the race. I am taking her to the airport now. We had a great time together. I will miss her. It was nice to act like a pro for a while, but back to work. It was nice to see Kevin for the weekend, but it was too fast. He really helped us out, he did alot for me to make it easier to race. It was a great experience, and made me stronger, super excited for the next upcoming races. We should be getting our new computer within the next couple days. Yeah

The race venue got dusted with snow on Friday night. It was cold...but that was the worst of it, it cleared up for the race.

Me and Chris Beardsley, he was also doing duo, but his wife went into labor during the race. She didn't even look pregnant. She was very cool, and hope we all get to hang out soon. They are having a boy. How exciting!

Spring and Sue kicked ass at the 2008 edition of The 24hrs in the Old Pueblo. They did 18 laps without a single incident. It was an awesome weekend that started out with some rough weather and cold temps. Only two male duo teams did more laps, 19, and they would have finished 5th overall out of 58 male teams!!!!! Our home computer took its final dump and Spring has the camera so stay tuned for pics and details. Sue's got a post you can check out at her sight, Congrats you guys, you rock!!!!!!

HAPPY VALENTINES DAY!

I am getting old, just hit the big 3-2. My day started out with my favorite breakfast, buttermilk pancakes with nonfat plain yogurt on top (just try it) fruit and maple syrup. Yes I ate the whole thing, I am carbo loading for the 24 hour race this weekend. :) I went out to the 24 hour course this evening, Max and Cat hooked us up with a good spot right by the rock drop off. I dropped a couple tents off and prerode the course and did half of it in the dark to test out my light. It is even more fun then when I did it 5 years ago, alot more single track. There was so many people already camping, partying out there. It is going to be a huge event. Kevin flys in tomorrow, I am so excited. Oh...I got out of a traffic ticket today because it was my birthday. Yeah, I am so glad because usually I have to shed some tears to get out of it.

Ahh...finally warm temps for AZ. It has been hitting 75 for high's. I went to Phoenix to do another race this weekend at White Tanks. It was alot of fun, and hard, I ended up third. Mountain biking is such a hard sport to race. There is some good competition this year, which makes it alot of fun, and I have never been able to even compete with the other top girls, so it is a learning experience for me. Every race I improve little by little. Baby steps, there is no luck in this sport, you have to ride your bike, alot, to be good. Next weekend is the 24 hour race, so as long as the weather stays nice it should be a great event. Everyone I talk to is signed up for the race, solo, duo, 4 person, 5 person team, 10 person teams should be fun.
