Been slacking on the posts lately. I'm enjoying my week in between classes, I took my finals on Tuesday and don't start the new trimester until this Tuesday. I think they went OK, we'll soon find out. I know I'm too busy when I start running more than riding. Yesterday I ran my favorite canyon in Tucson, Ventana Canyon. I can't believe how green it is, the monsoons have done well this year. Spring's in Silver City NM for a race tomorrow, she's been going fast lately so she should do pretty well. She's been on nights, 11 pm to 7 am, for the past couple of weeks and its killing her. It sucks for me too since when I'm off I have to be really quit or I'll wake her up plus we hardly see each other. I volunteered to go on nights next month, might as well since Spring is, it will last until November. We just ordered some sweet Light and Motion lights so where going to start getting in some good night rides.

Sandpoint in the background.

Ugly Huh! The views just get in your way when your trying to Mt. bike, you have to keep pulling your camera out:) I did two epic rides, Gold Hill overlooking Sandpoint and Hope to Clarkfork Divide trail. Both over looking Lake Pend Orielle, it is huge and Clarkfork is about 30 miles from Sandpoint. The lake alone is as big as Oahu. Today was a little extreme thinking that I could do 50 miles without even seeing what the trail was going to be like. But 8 hours later, I made it, and I ate a hotdog if that says anything I was so crushed from my week of riding that I guess I am ready to get back to work and rest. I have only two more days left, so my nephew has the water park planned for us tomorrow.

You can see the road that I climbed up on the other Mt. 13 miles up just to get to the trail and then I followed the ridge line down to the road. Made it to the road 8 hours later.

Another fun filled day yesterday with 3+ hour ride in the morning. The bike shop reccomended the best trail in Coeur d' Alene for me. Pure single track and fabulous views. One of my top 5, for sure. Then I took Jordan my nephew to the beach and then swim lessons, then we got him some roller blades. That kid has unlimmited energy, he is going to be such an athlete. Leaving this morning for Sandpoint to check out two of the best trails and camp on the lake overnight.
