Had a good dinner tonight with Tim, Sue and Ruby. Gotta fuel up for the big road ride in the morning. I heard something about Gates Pass, Madera Canyon and Mt. Lemmon in one sentence, brutal. Posted by Picasa

Spring finally made it back from the wonderful Montgomery Alabama. I picked her up at the airport friday night at 10 p.m. then we drove to Phoenix for the Estrella MTB race, we rolled in at about 1 a.m. There shouldn't be anymore time apart for awhile, we're psyched. My race went better than planned, I didn't feel like I was going really fast but I was able to stay strong the whole race and pulled out a 2nd. Sue overcame a flat and some technical problems to pull out a win, and my boy Austin scored a 2nd in his first race ever. You can see results at www.mbaa.net. Jennifer stopped by the race to check it out and track us down since we never call her, sorry, we're going to get better at calling you back:) There's rumor that she's going to give it a go at that whitetanks race.  Posted by Picasa

I just made it back from the 2007 edition of the 24hr in the Old Pueblo mtb race, its the 8th year for the event and it keeps getting better, check it out at www.epicrides.com. You might not remember but Spring rocked a 2nd place finish in the solo womans class in 2002 completing over 200 miles. It basically a small town of 3000+ people that gather once a yr to race bikes and party. I found out friday evening that I was going to be on a corporate team, our name was MEGASOREASS. Corporate teams can consist of 7 to 10 people, because of the increased amount of people to do laps theres more time to relax and enjoy yourself. Translation: drink from the many free flowing kegs strategically placed throughout. I ended up doing three laps and had an awesome time. If your anywhere near Tucson next yr around this time I would highly recommend checking out this event.  Posted by Picasa

Sue made it into town this weekend, I haven't seen her since she visited us in Hawaii in 2004. That's way too long between visits, lets not let that happen again. She's here this month for her annual base training before she drops the global hammer on a trail near you. We got a long ride in yesterday, it was good to catch up. Hopefully we can get alot of training in.  Posted by Picasa

Did the group ride this morning, its been huge lately 100+. My fitness is finally starting to come around, the plan of being fast by April just might happen. I went long up Sahuarita Rd this morning for the first time since I moved back, I got in around 5 hrs so I'm pretty work, definitely had to take a nap. I went thru the old stomping grounds of Rita Ranch on my way home so I stopped and took a few pics. I can't believe we first lived out there in 1998. Posted by Picasa
