Well I got lost again today. Pretty scary for a while. My plan was to do a loop by running Butterfly trail to Mt Bigelow right by the Ranger station that I left a bike at that I would ride back to the trail head. Well since the fire the trail was hard to find as you get way back in there or maybe I suck at navigating but I got all scraped up trying to find a way out. A few tips that I learned:
1. Become Interdependent instead of so damn Independent. ie..go with a buddy
2. If you get lost go up to the highest point so you can see where you are, that was the only way I found my way out.
3. Off course bring water and food, and don't follow deer tracks that look like foot tracks. ie..don't be a blonde.
