Spring made it throught the suffer fest. She decided after much persuation from her coach to do the long course (23 miles) instead of the short course (16 miles). The conditions where terrible for a boat race, no wind and no swell to surf. Most of the girls that usually do the long course bailed and decided to do the short course. There where only six girls to do the long course and Spring rounded out the group in sixth, not bad considering the other girls have been paddling much longer. Since she was the only 30-39 yr old she is officially the State Champ, yea haw. She was psyched just to finish, it was all prep for the big Molokai race on the 21st. 34 miles from Molokai to Hawaii Kai. Only nine more days until family start showing up for the big graduation.

Spring!

I came across your blog from myspace.com...this is Damon from Wallace. Ha, it's been a long time. Anyway, from the looks of your blog you're living an exciting life. I live in Monterey, California with my girlfriend. I'm the produce manager of a start-up produce company. I've been surfing quite a few times, but I'm jealous you're in "non wet suit" waters. Anyway, shoot me an email at barkdulldj@yahoo.com.

Later,

Damon
