It's official, we have located snow. The plan for today was a big ride around Hayden Lake but we woke up to steady rain here in Coeur d'alene so we scraped that idea and headed for the mountains. Schwietzer ski resort is about 40 miles north in Sandpoint Idaho, we've skied there a few times before, we really like the town and resort. We got up there at about noon and weren't disappointed, by the time we left this evening a total of 7 inches of fresh powder had fallen since this morning. We got two hrs of CC sking in, we where pretty worked on the last stretch home. They're supposed to get a few inches each day over the next couple days, bring on the snow. We're ready to hit some powder on the down-hill ski's.
